EMILY POTTHAST

Emily Potthast is an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning Cold Open Producer at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. After graduating from the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism, Emily landed a job as an NBC East Coast Page where she worked in production at “TODAY,” MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” and NBC Entertainment. She then held various production positions at NBC and CBS News before moving to CBS Entertainment. She is also the Creative Director at Rolli, an AI platform that connects journalists with expert sources.

Emily performed stand-up comedy all over New York City. She held multiple residencies at Broadway Comedy Club and has performed at The Comic Strip Live and Gotham Comedy Club. In 2024, she was selected to perform at The Ladies Room Comedy Festival.

 

Her recent pilot was selected as an honorable mention select at The Big Apple Film Festival.
